Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kavelo – AI Nutrition Tracker (the "App"), operated by Kavelo ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kavelo. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. User Accounts

You can create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or phone number authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account.

3. Kavelo Premium Subscriptions

Kavelo offers the following auto-renewable subscription options:

Current subscription prices are displayed in the App before purchase and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Price changes will be communicated in advance and require your confirmation before taking effect.

4. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for Kavelo Premium. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to the paid plan you selected unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App. Prohibited activities include: reverse engineering the App, using automated scripts or bots, accessing other users' data, or using the App for any unlawful purpose.

6. Health Disclaimer

Kavelo is not medical advice. The App provides nutrition tracking tools for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary changes, especially if you have a medical condition.

Nutrition data sourced from third-party databases may be inaccurate or incomplete. AI food recognition may estimate portions incorrectly. We are not liable for any health outcomes resulting from use of the App.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Kavelo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Gemini AI, FatSecret, USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, Firebase, and Apple/Google authentication. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability or practices.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that nutrition data will be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kavelo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
